The SeaGuardII DCP Wave offers a third alternative to wave measurement. It complements the MOTUS Buoy solution for directional wave measurements and the wave pressure sensor for non-directional wave measurement.
This solution has been thoroughly tested and validated against surface buoys — Datawell Waverider and MOTUS Buoys — and pressure based wave measurements.
Results from the three independent methods will be presented to advise on which wave measurements are most suitable for different applications.
