Boom Angle Sensor

The boom angle is measured and calculated/converted to show the operating radius to the crane driver.

    Both values may be displayed on the Mipeg X operator display. The unit is normally mounted in the boom foot, on either side of the boom. The box has to be installed parallel to the boom angle with the gland pointing downwards when the boom is horizontal.

    The outside overall box dimensions are H x W x D; 133 x 133 x 128 mm (5.2 x 5.2 x 5"), material being cast aluminum, sea water resistant material (weight approx. 4 kg/ 9 lbs.), coated for use offshore.

    This unit is certified both Atex and IECEx, for use in Ex zone 1. The unit is sealed to IP66/67 with an operation temperature is between -40 to + 65 degrees C (-40 to + 150 degrees F).
